BIO
Randy's new single "RANDY" is a throwback to the old honky-tonk country music we love from the 1960's and 1970's eras. Featuring self-deprecating humor and sarcastic (or not so sarcastic) arrogance of the golden era of country music. "RANDY" was recorded by engineer Tom Hnatow in Lexington, Kentucky. Hnatow laid down saloon piano and mixed the tracks. Reilly Mulholland added blazing telecaster lead guitar. Scott Wilmoth held down the backline on upright bass along with Zach Martin on drums. Zach also added percussion parts with pots, pans and a siren whistle. Reminiscent of Bob Dylan's siren whistle on Highway 61 Revisited.
This summer Randy will be releasing a single each month starting on Derby Day in May. There will be five singles, culminating in an EP release at the end of the summer. You can find Randy playing around Kentucky this summer in local, regional, and statewide watering holes, honky-tonks and bars. Be sure to check out his social media sites and this website for upcoming shows.
